I collezionisti

Since 1993, the 18th-century Villa Grimaldi Fassio in the historical parks of Nervi houses two exceptional collections of paintings by Italian and foreign artists between the second half of the 19th and the early 20th centuries: these are the collections of brothers Lazzaro G. B. Frugone and Luigi Frugone, donated to the Municipality of Genoa with the testamentary legacies of 1935 and 1953.
The collections include paintings, sculptures, drawings and carvings dating back from 1860-1930 approximately, mostly portraits, genre scenes and landscapes, reflecting the upper-class taste of the early 20th century.
