The rich heritage of Japanese and Oriental art, collected in Japan during the Meiji period by Edoardo Chiossone, is now displayed in the Villetta Di Negro.
The museum is home to Japanese works from various epochs: paintings from the 11th to the 19th century, weapons and armours, enamels, ceramics, lacquers, porcelains, polychrome prints, musical instruments, theatre masks, costumes and textiles, bronzes, and a rich collection of large sculptures from Japan, China and Siam.

SUMMER TIME (26 March - until 6 October)
From Tuesday  to Friday 9 am - 7 pm;
Saturday and Sunday  10 am - 7.30 pm;
Closed: Monday

WINTER TIME (9 October - until  March)
From Tuesday  to Friday 9 am - 6.30 pm;
Saturday and Sunday  9.30 am - 6.30 pm;
Closed: Monday and Christmas Day

Free admission:  UE citizens  0 - 18 years and to residents in the city of Genua on Sunday
