When visitors enter the tunnel in Room 9, they step into an immersive African savannah environment. The reconstructed landscape and painted background provide a fitting environment for predators like the lion (Panthera leo) and the leopard (Panthera pardus) on one side, and – on the other – herbivores like the giraffe (Giraffa camelopardalis), the hippopotamus (Hippopotamus amphibius) and the African buffalo (Syncerus caffer).
