Descrizione:
This overcoat (chapan), made by sewing together several pieces of fabric, is in shohi ikat, a plain-woven fabric made entirely of silk. The motifs reproduce the so-called tambourine (or solar) decoration, pomegranate flowers, ram's horns and bodum (almonds). The fabric is quilted and padded, while the lining is made of printed cotton canvas. The garment is fastened with two metal buttons.
