For residents of the Metropolitan City of Genoa, admission to the following institutions is free every Sunday and during the last time slot of each day (under the following conditions: Musei di Strada Nuova – single entry at 6:00 PM; Castello d’Albertis – single entry at 6:00 PM except on Thursdays at 9:00 PM; for the other Civic Museums – entry between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM):

  • Musei di Strada Nuova (Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco, Palazzo Tursi)
  • Civic Museum of Natural History (temporarily closed except for already scheduled activities)
  • Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art
  • Villa Croce Museum of Contemporary Art (temporarily closed)
  • Castello D'Albertis – Museum of World Cultures
  • Sant’Agostino Museum
  • Frugone Collections
  • GAM
  • Wolfsoniana
  • Museum of Ligurian Archaeology
  • Museum of the Risorgimento

Additionally, on the first Sunday of every month, regardless of residency, admission is free at the National Museums:

  • Royal Palace Museum
  • National Gallery of Palazzo Spinola
  • MEI – National Museum of Italian Emigration

 

CARDS

 

Genova Museum Card

The Genova Museum Cards are available for purchase by all visitors to the Museums of the City of Genoa and are offered in the following types: Genova Museum Card 24h, Genova Museum Card 48h, Genova Museum Card Annual, Genova Museum Card Annual – Residents of the Metropolitan City of Genoa, and Genova Museum Card Annual – Students.

The 24h and 48h Genova Museum Cards are single tickets, valid respectively for 24 or 48 hours, allowing access to 28 museums across the city, including 19 municipal and 9 non-municipal museums. They also include free use of the AMT urban public transport network (buses, metro, elevators, funiculars) starting from the date and time of activation and for the following 24 hours. Navebus, Volabus, extra-urban services, and Trenitalia integration are not included.

The Annual Genova Museum Card, the Annual Genova Museum Card for Residents of the Metropolitan City of Genoa, and the Annual Genova Museum Card for Students are single tickets, valid for one year from activation, allowing access to the same 28 museums (19 municipal and 9 non-municipal).

Holders of the Genova Museum Card are also entitled to reduced-price admission to exhibitions organized by Palazzo Ducale Fondazione per la Cultura.

The Cards can be purchased online at the following links:

Visitors who purchase their card online may enter the museums by showing, at the entrance, the ticket received at the email address provided during purchase, within 24 hours from the chosen activation date and time.

The 24h Card can also be purchased at museum ticket offices (with the exception of the following: Museo di Palazzo Reale, Galleria Nazionale di Palazzo Spinola, Museo dei Beni Culturali Cappuccini, Museo Ebraico, Museo della Chimica, ViaDelCampo29Rosso, Museo Biblioteca dell'Attore, Complesso Monumentale della Lanterna, Villa del Principe).

GENOVA CITY PASS

GENOVA City PASS is the new tourist card that allows visitors to discover the main beauties of Genoa at a special price.

The Pass can be purchased online in several versions 24h, 48h and 72h:

All experiences included in the cards can be selected, booked and purchased directly on the internet website. The cards include free travel on AMT public transport and discounts for tours and activities.

The City Pass is created automatically on the first purchase of a card or of any other activity and it can be recharged more times and freely, without limits, to give visitor the maximum savings and the pleasure of visiting Genoa.
