Genoa on the beach

There are images of the early twentieth century capturing a beach that still exists (in the east of the city, on the edge of the current Corso Italia) but also beaches that no longer exists (the one in Sestri Ponente, Bagni Spinola). Over time this area has become an industrial area, suburbs of the port and service area, with few beaches remaining: Pegli, Voltri and Vesima.
However, in the past as today (where the beach has been preserved), there are always many people blessing summer and the same joy of that time.
A tasty detail: the cabin-veranda of the San Nazaro baths (1930).
