The Municipality of Genoa, thanks to the financing of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, has launched a new website to present the varied and huge cultural heritage preserved in civic-owned museums, places and cultural institutes. Each work of art is catalogued according to the standards of the Central Catalog and Documentation Institute of the Ministry of Culture (ICCD), starting from the most significant masterpieces and focal points of each collection. The database will be implemented and updated over time. Thanks to an important digitalization campaign high definition images are available for each work of art published on the catalogue.
