Descrizione:
The object may be linked to the Onko Chōkan family. A rectangular inrō with an elliptical cross-section, rounded edges, convex sides and four compartments. The wood is covered in red lacquer carved with a composition of hooked guri spirals; the deep carving highlights the overlapping of ten coloured layers in black, red and yellow. The netsuke is carved in the round with human and arboreal figures.
