Coming from the collection of sculptor Santo Varni, it was originally placed in Palazzo Fieschi in Piazza San Lorenzo. A slate door panel depicting St George on horseback with his sword raised as if to slay the dragon, whilst the princess, with her arms raised, watches the scene. On either side of St George are two heraldic coats of arms that have been completely erased: only the helmets, with cat figures as crests, remain.
