The fabric belongs to the category of ‘walking’ velvets, characterised by a decorative pattern that repeats horizontally. Although the fabric is composed of several fragments of the same fabric, assembled at an unknown date, it is possible to read and identify the pattern, which consists of a multi-lobed reserve enclosing an upright pomegranate, crowned by leaves from which five stems branch out symmetrically, each bearing a small flower. In the area above, the outline of the reserve is made up of knotted branches, intertwined with oblong leaves, while at the top there is a similar smaller pomegranate, repeated further between one reserve and another.
