Paintings

The picture gallery reflects the preference of the Luxoros for eighteenth-century art and for subjects of a non religious nature. Genre scenes and landscape paintings predominate, among which some outstanding works by Alessandro Magnasco, Antonio Francesco Peruzzini and Carlo Antonio Tavella, alongside numerous eighteenth-century portraits of the Genoese school (Giovanni Enrico Vaymer, Giovanni Maria Delle Piane the Mulinaretto), accompanied by a large number of maritime images from Northern Europe.

In particular, the famous painting, depicting the painter Pitocco between gypsies and soldiers, executed by the great Genoese painter Alessandro Magnasco at the height of his talent, should be noted.
