The shape and decoration of this object are inspired by oriental porcelain, in particular Japanese Imari porcelain, characterised by blue, red and gold colours, replaced here by ochre. The presence of two different marks may be due to the fact that the lid, which bears the symbol used by the Salamone family, was added at a later date, perhaps to replace the original one. Teapot with a globular body, twisted handle and domed lid, with a mark on the back. The decoration, in blue and yellow ochre, includes a series of blue multi-lobed elements at the top enclosing single or bunched ochre-coloured leaves. At the bottom are painted plant shoots with small flowers.
