The Trave with Christ and the Apostles (1278) and the wooden Custody for the reliquary of the hand of Santo Stefano (early 14th century) testify medieval Genoese painting together with prestigious names, such as Barnaba da Modena for the second half of the 14th century. Luca Cambiaso is the protagonist of the full sixteenth century together with a large number of extra-regional contributions while the culmination of the museum itiner-ary is the full seventeenth and baroque painting, with the altarpieces by Domenico Piola and Gregorio De Ferrari.
