Modern foldable field armor tatami type
Japan, XVII -XIX century
AA12
polymateric
Armor with an eboshi kabuto helmet (shaped like a court hat, belonging to the kawari kabuto, extravagant helmets). Full war mask, somen. The modern shoulder guards feature a construction of long, smooth iron plates, fully laced.
The cuirass is composed of iron chainmail alternating with squared inserts of burnished leather and is in the tatami (folding) style, as are the tassets of the skirt.
This is a lightweight field armor that is easily portable and foldable thanks to the lightweight chainmail material. The greaves are decorated with hexagonal cells outlined in white and dotted in the center with beige inserts on emerald-green fabric base.
