Set in the wonderful scenery of the parks of Nervi, an area located to the east of the city, palaces and noble villas have been transformed into museums, further embellishing a landscape of already undisputed beauty. This close relationship between art and nature led to the creation of the Nervi Museum Centre dedicated to modern and contemporary art.
A single exhibition itinerary connects the art collections, from the 17th century to the present day: the antique collections of the villa-museum of Villa Luxoro (currently closed for restoration), the Belle Époque paintings and sculptures of the Frugone Collections, the 19th-20th century works of the Gallery of Modern Art, culminating in the decorative and propaganda arts of the period 1880 - 1945 of the Wolfsoniana.
