The work was exhibited at the Exhibition of the Society for the Promotion of Fine Arts in 1865 and was purchased by Prince Oddone of Savoy for 300 lire. Painting on canvas in rectangular form depicting a coastal landscape. The canvas is signed twice and dated in the bottom left-hand corner.
