Within the bastion, we find the reconstruction of a ship's cabin, a cozy, wood-panelled hideaway likely intended as the imaginary captain's quarters of the castle, itself envisaged as a ship by the name of Montegalletto, as we read on the life preserver hanging in the room. Here, we can imagine that the Captain might have soothed his longing for the sea throughout the long months spent on land.
