In 2017, the year in which the Museum celebrated its 150th anniversary, the Friends of the Museum Association marked the 90th anniversary of its foundation. To commemorate this special occasion, the Association decided to fund the refurbishment of one of the Museum’s exhibition halls. The new Cetacean Hall was thus unveiled, offering visitors an immersive experience in an entirely blue environment, featuring models, skeletons, informative panels, and a spectacular sperm whale display occupying an entire wall.
